More success for our first apprentice

It doesn’t seem long since we were reporting that the first youngster to start as an apprentice with the LTF team, Brandon Vevers, had achieved an NVQ at level 2. Now, we’re delighted to announce that Brandon has succeeded in reaching the level 3 standard, and we’d like to offer him our congratulations.

Brandon has been studying with the support of the North Lancs Training Group for the qualifications which include an NVQ at Level 3 in Fabrication of Glass Supporting Structures and a Technical Certificate at Level 3 for Glass Related Operations.

The skills required are varied and build strengths required for handling complex and non-routine activities. Brandon has proved more than capable of the challenge. He’s taking more responsibility all the time, making good decisions and supporting his fellow apprentices.

Talking about his progress, Brandon said, “I know that I’ve come a long way, but I recognise there’s much more to learn.” That’s typical of Brandon’s attitude and it’s the kind of understanding that will take him far. We wish him every success for the future.
