The teamwork that goes into building a great team

You know a partnership is working well when both parties have good things to say about the other. The relationship between Lancashire Trade Frames and the North Lancs Training Group is a case in point, and over the last two years, we’ve taken on a total of seven apprentices who have worked with the NLTG team.

Right now, our apprentice Brandon Vevers is celebrating the completion of an NVQ Level 2 Certification in Fabrication of Glass Supported Structures, and we’d like to offer congratulations to Brandon on his success. Brandon, however, is still keen to learn. He’s already started studying for the NVQ at Level 3 in Fabrication of Glass Supporting Structures and the Level 3 Technical Certificate for Glass Related Operations.

Our General Manager, Peter Margieson, had this to say, ‘It’s great to see a lad born and bred in Lancashire, working his way up through the ranks. We love to employ locally –  grow our own, if you like – and we’re very impressed with Brandon’s abilities and his rapid progress.’

That rapid progress results partly from Brandon’s dedication, but it’s also due to the way in which LTF work with the NLTG organisation. By being fully engaged with their processes and principles, we’re getting fantastic results and developing a fully skilled workforce to continue our progress.

As for NLTG, their training officer, Damian Ward praised our approach to the development of young workers and commented that it was rare to see a company who put so much into supporting their apprentices.

We’ll accept the kind words, reciprocate them, and then, in proper Lancashire fashion, get on with what we do best – making great windows and doors.
